For Christmas this year I got a point and shoot camera, I was so excited!
I've used it so much for everything, it's great to have a camera I don't have to worry about taking a big expensive camera around to places. Also I can simply put it in my pocket or purse. So I would recommend a point and shoot for any photographer, to be able to take fun pictures and also have a camera to take behind the scenes pictures at your photo shoots.

it's amazing to think that a little point and shoot can come in so handy... I so need to get one, I hate thinking about caring my big 40D on a backpacking trip... it gets heavy.
But I thought you had a Nikon?
I do, I feel like the Cannon point and shoots are better quality for the price compared to Nikon. Also the camara I got for Christmas is a newer version of the one I got my brother the year before and I love it.
I have that same point and shoot!! I call it my "play camera" and then my 40D is my "real camera"
